The Pad Project

The Pad Project is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create and cultivate local and global partnerships to end period stigma and to empower women and all menstruators worldwide. In 2013, a youth-driven community of students and educators started The Pad Project with the idea that menstruation matters for everyone. Together they created the Netflix documentary Period. End of Sentence., which won the 2019 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short, and since then, The Pad Project has continued to grow

They have both international (Pad Machines that help manufacture, supply and employ women in other countries) and US programs including Pads for All and Pads for School.

Did You Know?

I am a committee member for JUST US GIRLS. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization addressing the holistic and financial needs of women and men in Monmouth and Ocean Counties who are dealing with the trauma of breast cancer.

It formed in1995, when a few women decided to channel their efforts and energies into a worthy cause, and the JUST US GIRLS 5K was inaugurated. Since then, we have continued to grow in strength and numbers.

Our largest fundraising event is scheduled this October 4, 2025 to coincide with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Make a Difference Day across America. It is our desire to provide a day of sharing, caring and coming together for a common cause… JUST US GIRLS.

Flier for upcoming run

Last year was one of our most successful events to date, allowing us to help even more women and men throughout the year.  We are hopeful for another great turn out, to continue our efforts in easing the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

Support Local Women Business Owners

"Behind every successful woman, is a tribe of other successful woman who have her back"

I never realized how supportive and encouraging the small business world is. And I love it! Whether it is a fitness class, massage therapist, nutritionist, clothing purchase or coffee shop, shopping local helps the community and each other.

Ask other women in your life if they are OK. Your mom, sister, neighbor, daughter, co-worker. Being there to listen to someone can make all the difference in the world.

Sometimes even just educating each other on what is not normal (Sex shouldn't be painful; No! You shouldn't leak urine; Yes we can improve a prolapse), can help us to know that there is help, and hope.
